Refund & Cancellation Policy

At CloseXpay, we aim to provide a seamless and reliable payment experience for all users. Whether you are making a bill payment, completing a UPI transaction, or using our pay-in and payout services, our processes are designed to be transparent, secure, and customer-friendly.

1. Refund Eligibility

  • Money debited but transaction failed
  • Duplicate payment for the same service
  • BBPS bill payment completed but not processed by the biller
  • Payout request initiated but not executed
  • Service not delivered despite successful payment

All refunds are processed after transaction verification.

2. Non-Refundable Transactions

Certain payment categories cannot be cancelled or refunded once processed because they are handled by external billers or banks:

  • Mobile/DTH recharge
  • Utility bill payments (Electricity, Water, Gas, Broadband, Telecom, etc.)
  • Insurance premium payments
  • Any third-party product or service processed outside CloseXpay
  • Transactions already marked as "Successful" by the biller or financial partner

CloseXpay does not hold or reverse transactions controlled by external issuers or BBPS billers.

3. Refund Timelines

Refunds are processed back to the original payment method:

UPI

2 to 5 business days

Cards/Netbanking

5 to 7 business days

BBPS transactions

As per biller settlement timelines

Payout reversals

Instant to 24 hours

Refund processing time may vary depending on the bank/biller.

4. How to Request a Refund

To raise a refund or cancellation request, contact us via:

Please include the following in your request:

  • Transaction ID
  • Date & Time of Transaction
  • Payment Mode
  • Amount Paid
  • Registered Mobile Number / Email

Incomplete details may delay the resolution.

5. Special Conditions for Recharge & BBPS Services

  • All recharge and bill payment sales are final, as these are instant services.
  • If an amount is debited but the recharge/bill payment fails or is not delivered within 24 hours, users can raise a complaint.
  • After verification with the operator/biller, the refund will be processed within 7 working days if eligible.

6. Data Retention & Privacy

  • CloseXpay retains transaction data for 6 months as per regulatory guidelines under the Information Technology Act and applicable security standards.
  • Your data is stored securely, encrypted, and used only to process transactions and resolve disputes.
  • We do not share personal or transaction data with unauthorized third parties.

7. Cancellation Policy

Once a payment is initiated, cancellation may not be possible, depending on the service type and biller rules. Cancellations are not accepted for:

  • UPI payments already processed
  • BBPS bill payments
  • Mobile/DTH recharges
  • Payouts already executed
  • Third-party services fulfilled instantly

If a service has not been delivered and the transaction is pending, our team will assist in resolving or initiating a refund where applicable.
